The next two information sessions of the “Greek SME Hub GAIA‑X Accelerator” were successfully held in Thessaloniki (21 January 2026) and Kavala (22 January 2026), further expanding the project’s presence in Northern Greece.

Participants, including SMEs, startups, local organizations and professionals, had the opportunity to learn about:

• the services and capabilities of the GAIA‑X Accelerator platform,
• the benefits of joining the national GAIA‑X network,
• the application and onboarding process,
• European data governance standards (GAIA‑X, IDSA, Data Act, Data Governance Act) and how these can be applied in real business environments.

Both events fostered active discussions, with attendees exploring topics such as data spaces, digital transformation strategies, and emerging collaboration opportunities in sectors including agri‑food, tourism, logistics and manufacturing.

The sessions in Thessaloniki and Kavala mark important milestones in the wider cycle of awareness events taking place across Greece, aiming to increase SME engagement in the European data ecosystem and accelerate their digital maturity.
