The first series of informational events of the “GAIA‑X Accelerator – Greek SME Hub” was successfully completed in four key regional cities,  Volos, Patras, Ioannina and Rhodes, further strengthening the project’s momentum and nationwide reach.

The Info Days brought together SMEs, startups, professionals, academics, and representatives of local institutions, who were informed about:

• the services and capabilities of the GAIA‑X Accelerator platform,
• the benefits of joining the Greek GAIA‑X hub network,
• the application and evaluation process,
• the European frameworks and standards for data governance (GAIA‑X, IDSA, Data Act, Data Governance Act) and their practical applications for Greek SMEs.

The discussions were particularly substantial and productive, with participants highlighting needs and opportunities related to data spaces, the use of artificial intelligence, the digital maturity of businesses, and new cooperation prospects in key sectors such as tourism, agri‑food, maritime, supply chain and manufacturing.

The completion of the Info Days in Volos, Patras, Ioannina and Rhodes marks an important milestone in the broader cycle of outreach and awareness activities of the GAIA‑X Accelerator, which continues with the goal of strengthening the participation of Greek SMEs and startups in the European data ecosystem and supporting their digital transformation journey.
